July 20, 2012 - not another normal day

I woke this morning, just like everyone else.  I picked up my Iphone and have all these alerts for breaking news.  It says people shot in a movie theater in Colorado - as I turn the TV on to the news station I lay there thinking...Oh God, not again - not here.  I had already been watching the news (or lack) of the Syrian bombings and then the bus bombing of the Jewish tourists in Bulgaria.  I tend to get these feelings that something is about to happen..I'm not psychic or anything but sometimes I get a weird 6th sense of things like that. After watching for awhile and listening to what was going on my heart was breaking.

In this day and age we are bombarded with news -  most of it worthless.  I could care less about the Kardashians, Tom Cruise, Brangelina, etc.  I DON'T CARE!!! I don't care if Romney hasn't released all of his tax returns, I don't care if Obama may or may not have a fake birth certificate (I'm sick of that one), I don't care that Chic-Fil-A said something that wasn't politically correct (yes I will still eat there it's their right to have that belief). I want to hear more about a government killing their citizens and NOTHING being done about it by a so called "Security Council".   I want to hear how someone decided to dress as a Westerner and blow up a bus with Israeli tourists.  I want to hear how we still have soldiers in Afghanistan dying. I want to hear how after a tragedy our country comes together like it did after 9/11.  I want to hear how neighbors helped neighbors.

If we don't wake up soon our country is going to lose what humanity it has left.  Make a stand.  Support someone or something you believe in even if it's not the "politically" correct thing to do.  Smile at a stranger. Help someone in need.   Learn what is going on in the world and be aware of the dangerous times we are living in!   Educate yourself!!   Hug your family and friends and tell them you love them.  We are not promised tomorrow.  Live your life to the fullest and always remember where you came from. Last but not least...spread love.
